Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announce split after 13 years of marriage

In a joint statement posted on Instagram, actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher revealed that they are divorcing after being together for over 20 years. The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, shared that they had quietly filed for divorce in 2023 and have been working through the decision privately.


"We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy," the statement read.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher first met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2001 and got engaged in 2004. Reflecting on their first encounter, Baron Cohen recalled bonding over humor and shared, "She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don't know if she did."

Fisher's notable acting credits include films like Confessions of a Shopaholic, Wedding Crashers, and The Great Gatsby, among others. Meanwhile, Baron Cohen is best known for his roles in the Borat series of films and The Dictator.
