Song Hye-kyo looks stunning at Met Gala debut, but receives mixed reactions

Song Hye-kyo’s debut at the Met Gala is met with surprisingly mixed reactions. Korean netizens and others have been praising her but others have been both complimentary as well as unforgiving, critical and ruthless in their analysis of her jewellery, hair, make-up, dress and accessories. Song though proudly displayed her look with much splendour at the 2023 Met Gala, which was held yesterday in New York.
This year’s theme for the annual Met Gala was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” In memory of and in celebration of the late Karl Lagerfeld, who was the artistic director of couture and womenswear of Fendi.Song Hye-kyo donned an uber-fashionable gown by Fendi.
She also sported a stylish Hime cut that was met with lots of mixed reactions. Song is currently one of the biggest stars in the Korean entertainment industry and has been at the top of the marquee since 2000 with the KBS Drama, Autumn in My Heart. It was followed by the massive viewership of the 2003 Korean television drama series, All In. Since then, she has acted in a number of hit films, including The Queens, The Grandmaster and My Brilliant Life.
Another incident that got her worldwide fans even more excited is that they got to see Song Hye-kyo and Blackpink’s Jennie posing together for a selfie for the first time. Despite the mixed response to her appearance, Song proudly posted a video on Instagram to which she received tons of compliments and love.
