Insider account MyTimeToShineHello claimed that a recent screening was met with “overwhelmingly positive” reactions, while Cryptic HD Quality noted that even a limited internal screening left viewers “very pleased.”

According to reports, the upcoming instalment is also expected to mark a shift in the narrative as it will add a darker spin to the MCU's 'Spider-Man' franchise. The story reportedly follows an older, more isolated Peter Parker. The trailer has also teased the character undergoing a mutation of sorts as he battles bad guys and his inner demons.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal. The film swings into theatres on July 31, 2026.
