DC Studios dropped an early holiday surprise for fans on Thursday with the first full trailer for 'Supergirl', starring
Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El.
The actress who made her breakout appearance in 'House of the Dragon', first took flight as the character in James Gunn’s 'Superman' earlier this year. Her character make a memorable entry, stumbling into the final act while seemingly drunk. Donning her red cape, she is now front and centre in director Craig Gillespie’s galactic epic, adapted from 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'.

The new trailer sets up a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' plot, where the hero embarks on a journey across the galaxy in search for justice and truth. Fans also get their first look at Krypto the Superdog, however, his role in this adventure remains a mystery.

'Supergirl' synopsis
The official synopsis reads, “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
The trailer teases emotion, action, adventure and laughs in good proportions. A shot of Kara crying beside her dog has already sparked fan anxiety about Krypto’s fate, teasing a deeper exploration of our hero's past, including the destruction of her home.
