The English Patient stars reunite for 20th anniversary party

Thomas reunited at the 2016 Rome Film Festival in

Italy

to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their movie 'The English Patient.'

The trio held hands and took selfies of each other with their cellphones on the red carpet for a screening of the movie at Auditorium Parco Della Musica, reported Contactmusic.


The stars were joined by co-star Julian Wadham and producer Paul Zaentz.

The 1996 movie adaptation of Michael Ondaatje's book picked up nine Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director (the late Anthony Minghella), Best Cinematography, and Best Supporting Actress (Binoche).

Kristen

, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in the film, recently said that the film remains one of her favourites.

"The success of the film was thrilling. I watched it not long ago. It was definitely one of my favourite films to do. It was made from the heart, with integrity, and it s beautiful."
