‘What Happens at Night’: Jared Harris on board for Martin Scorsese’s film with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence
Hollywood is buzzing with a recent casting development: Jared Harris just signed on for Martin Scorsese’s next, ‘What Happens at Night’. The more promising part? The film already has Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence on board. In case you can’t spot who Jared Harris is, you might have seen the British actor you’ve seen in ‘Chernobyl’, ‘The Crown’, and ‘Mad Men’. Now that Harris is officially part of the cast, there is a lot buzz around.
As the couple tries to finalize the adoption, reality starts to slip. They’re forced to face bizarre situations and, maybe even more unsettling, their own secrets and doubts. The story is dreamlike and tense, full of gothic atmosphere and emotional twists, which is right in Scorsese’s wheelhouse.
With Scorsese directing, DiCaprio and Lawrence starring, and now Harris, Mads Mikkelsen, and Patricia Clarkson on board, ‘What Happens at Night’ is already one of the most anticipated movies of 2026 and 2027. So, the excitement is very much justified! As per a report in Deadline, the production of the film just kicked off in Prague, with plans to shoot in other international spots too.
