Brad Pitt parted ways with his 1.9-acre property in 2023, 30 years after he bought the property from Cassandra Peterson for 1.7 million USD. The actor had initially bought the property, and had kept on purchasing houses that popped up near his property. In an old interview, Peterson opened up about selling her house to the ‘F1’ actor, and even shared a funny anecdote about the time the actor live in his home rent-free.Since PItt often purchased homes and properties near his main house, this incident came to light during one such occurences. As per reports from People, the actress had revealed that they used to have an old, 91 year neightbour named John, who had been living in his home by himself after his wife passed away.When Pitt bought the house from him, he agreed to an unusual arrangement. John lived on the property, even after selling it to Pitt, till the day he passed on at the age of 105. PItt never even asked any rent from him, and agreed to let the old man live out his final days peacefully in the home. Cassandra had joked at the time about the matter. She had shared that, “He was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died. It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105”.She had also described the actor whow as sweet and understanding, and had shared that even after selling her home to him, she had stayed nearby, and the two interacted on a daily basis.
