Regarding whether he would play Eduardo Saverin again, Garfield has commented on the rumours that a biographical sequel is being developed. The prospect of a second instalment of The Social Network has piqued fans' interest, particularly since screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has confirmed that he is penning the script, as reported by Cinemablend.

Aaron Sorkin, the writer of the first film, disclosed that he is working on a sequel in a recent episode of The Town podcast.

But rather than being a straight continuation, Sorkin referred to it as a "spiritual successor." He clarified that he decided to look into the topic again because of Facebook's enormous impact on world events, such as the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.

Given Facebook's tremendous evolution and the difficulties surrounding it, Sorkin has been eager to create a follow-up since 2019.

Jesse Eisenberg, who played Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, is probably coming back, even though the cast members have not yet been officially confirmed.

Anticipations for the sequel include delving deeper into Facebook's societal influence and examining fresh perspectives on the controversial role played by the social media site in current affairs.

Regarding the possible follow-up, Andrew Garfield conveyed his excitement as well as his scepticism about playing Eduardo Saverin again.

Prizing Sorkin's storytelling, Garfield told Esquire that he would be thrilled to work on the movie if given the chance. "I think anything Aaron does will be incredibly powerful and fascinating, and you can be sure there will be some juice involved if he is drawn to a particular subject." Garfield remarked.

But given that the software tycoon is currently enjoying a luxurious life in Singapore, he pointed out that Saverin's character might not be essential to the new plot.

Despite the fact that Garfield's character was prominent in the first film, it is unclear if he will be in the follow-up due to Saverin's current low-key lifestyle, as reported by Cinemablend.

Eduardo Saverin has led a somewhat secluded life ever since he and Zuckerberg fell out. In exchange for an undisclosed payment and the restoration of his co-founder position, he resolved his lawsuit against Facebook.

These days, Saverin is a billionaire and co-founder of the Singaporean venture capital company B Capital Group. His involvement in a sequel may be restricted because his life has mostly shifted away from the major tensions depicted in The Social Network.

In spite of this, fans would like seeing Garfield go back to one of his most iconic performances. His act in the first movie became a fan favourite, especially during the famous scene where he confronts Zuckerberg. It even went viral on social media sites like TikTok.
