Zac Efron gives health update following his minor swimming incident and hospitalization in Spain

Zac Efron recently had fans on edge after a minor swimming accident led to a brief hospital stay. The incident occurred while the actor was vacationing at a villa in Ibiza.

According to PEOPLE magazine, on August 2, Zac Efron experienced what has been described as a "minor swimming incident" while using the pool at his accommodation. He was promptly taken to a local hospital as a precaution but was discharged the following morning, much to the relief of his concerned followers.

The Hollywood star, who has been keeping fans updated on his health through social media, took to Instagram to reassure his audience. Zac posted a photograph of himself lifting weights while balancing on an exercise ball, accompanied by the caption, “Happy and healthy.” The actor also expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support he received. “Thanks for the well wishes,” he added in his post.


The incident comes on the heels of a busy period for the actor, who was recently seen sharing the stage with DJ Martin Garrix. During a performance at the Ushuaia Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club, Zac Efron made a surprise appearance, dancing alongside Garrix and energizing the crowd. A video of the appearance, captured by Garrix’s fans, showcases Efron’s enthusiastic participation and the audience’s excited reaction.


Zac Efron’s year has been eventful, with movies like ‘The Iron Claw’ and ‘Ricky Stanicky,’ and the recent one - ‘A Family Affair’, which also features Nicole Kidman and Joey King. In an interview with PEOPLE, Efron and Kidman discussed the film, revealing that it initially had a much more provocative title before being renamed. Efron recounted that the original title, which was a censored version of "Motherf------," intrigued him and made him eager to join the project. “That made the script stay at the top of the pile,” he said. Both actors expressed their excitement about reuniting on screen, having previously worked together on the 2013 film ‘The Paperboy.’
