The couple also purchased a heart-shaped island together, located 50 miles off the coast of New York City. The 11-acre Petra island was Jolie's gift for Pitt on his 50th birthday. Reportedly, this island was equipped with a helipad and two homes designed by renown architect Frank Lloyd Wright. A source was quoted in The Mirror as saying that as soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing and was impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. The source further added that it’s very private and Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to Pitt.

Katy Perry's gift for Russell Brand: Pop star Katy Perry surprised her former husband Russell Brand with a seat aboard Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceship, the cost of which was $200,000 for 2 tickets. The specialty of it was that passengers on this plane have the chance to experience anti-gravity for five minutes before re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere. The gift was to celebrate Brand's 35th birthday. A report on Dailymail.co.uk quoted Brand saying that it was the most exciting thing they had done.
