During a recent interview promoting her latest album, Gaga reflected on her time filming the gothic drama. “I don’t want to reveal anything about my role just yet—I want it to be a surprise. But I love Jenna and I had an amazing time working with her,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

This first surfaced in November that the Oscar-winning performer had been filming in Europe for 'Wednesday 'Season 2. However, the production has kept details of her character tightly under wraps, fueling speculation about what role she might play in the eerie world of Nevermore Academy.

'Wednesday,' which premiered in 2022, follows Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of the iconic Addams Family daughter as she hones her psychic abilities while navigating life at Nevermore. The show became an instant cultural phenomenon, with its star-studded cast including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Gwendoline Christie and Christina Ricci—who famously played Wednesday Addams in the 1991 Addams Family films.

Jenna Ortega has openly expressed her admiration for Gaga, even before the pop star’s casting was confirmed. At the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Ortega spoke about how much she’d love to see Gaga join the show, even offering a theory about what kind of character she could portray.

“I think Netflix would be all for it. There was this strange understanding between Wednesday and Mrs. Thornhill, almost like a mentor dynamic. If Gaga were to join the show, I could see it being something like that—two monsters who just get each other,” Ortega had said in a past interview.

The connection between Jenna Ortega and Lady Gaga extends beyond the series itself. Following Wednesday’s release, a viral dance scene featuring Ortega’s character reignited interest in Gaga’s 2011 song 'Bloody Mary.'The track saw an unexpected resurgence on the charts more than a decade after its original release, proving just how powerful the show’s influence has been.

With 'Wednesday' Season 2 already generating excitement, fans can’t wait to see how Gaga’s mysterious role will unfold and how she will fit into the eerie world of Nevermore Academy.
