Senegalese-American singer and global music sensation
Akon is all set to make his return to India with a multi-city concert tour this November. Following in the footsteps of international artists like Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, and Enrique Iglesias, Akon will perform live in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai — promising what he calls “the party of the year.”
Akon’s message for Indian fans
In a video shared by the tour organizers on Wednesday, Akon addressed his Indian fans with an enthusiastic message that quickly went viral. He said, “Are y’all ready, India? It’s your boy Akon! You know I had to hit you with a little Chammak Challo to get the vibes right. Guess what? This November, I’m bringing the party of the year straight to you.”
He continued, “So don’t wait — click that link, grab your tickets, and come turn up with me live on tour, India style. Can’t wait to see my people, my fans, my fam out there — let’s make history together! Much love.”
The clip immediately sparked excitement among fans across social media, especially after his mention of Chammak Challo, the hit song he recorded for Shah Rukh Khan’s 2011 film Ra.One.
Akon’s India tour schedule
The Akon India Tour 2025 will include three major concerts across the country. The first will be held in Delhi on November 9, followed by Bengaluru on November 14, and concluding with Mumbai on November 16. Each show is expected to feature Akon’s biggest global hits alongside his signature high-energy performances.
The singer, whose discography includes chart-toppers such as Smack That, Lonely, Don’t Matter, and Right Now (Na Na Na), remains a fan favorite in India — especially after his Bollywood collaboration more than a decade ago.
Ticket prices and celebrity buzz
According to official listings, tickets for Akon’s Mumbai concert start at Rs 5,499 and go up to Rs 19,999, depending on seating categories. Fans are anticipating a star-studded turnout, as several Bollywood celebrities attended Enrique Iglesias’ recent concert in Mumbai, including Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhinav Shukla.
