All about Sabrina Carpenter's hilarious experience during the Grammy performance with an unexpected ‘drop’

Sabrina Carpenter sure drops amazing music, but during her performance at the 2026 Grammys, one of her backup dancers dropped something messy! The global superstar had a hilarious experience while she was kicking off the award show. While Sabrina was performing her hit song ‘Manchild’, one of the backup dancers, a bird, pooped on Sabrina’s hand.

For her kick-off performance, Sabrina was dressed as an airline pilot, with backup dancers dressed as all versions of a modern man. At one point, she reached into a magician’s hat and pulled a live bird out of it, which promptly flew away. At the end of the musical number, Sabrina held the dove again as she sat on top of an airplane on stage.




The bird poop incident was revealed in a Grammys TikTok video, where the 6-year-old celebrated the performance with her team backstage and shouted, “It s--t on my hand!”

It was Sabrina’s second time performing at the Grammys stage, and she confidently persevered.

Last February, when Sabrina bagged her first two Grammy wins, Sabrina still had the audience enjoying her performance even after inconveniences like wardrobe malfunctions and parts of the set falling apart.

After Sabrina’s performance, host Trevor Noah said, “That was amazing and funny, which I didn't appreciate." He joked, "You're gonna do funny too, Sabrina? Really? You're just gonna take my job like that?"
