Elton John has confirmed that he is not getting retired from the
music
anytime soon.
Amidst reports that John's upcoming 2017 tour would be his last, the 69-year-old musician finally put full stop to all such rumours by taking to the
Instagram and appeased fan worry over the supposed retirement.
"Don't believe what you read in the papers today. There is no truth to the rumors that I am planning to retire," he wrote. "In fact, I am looking forward to celebrating 50 years of collaborating with my partner-in-song,
Bernie Taupin, next year."
John is currently on tour in Europe, with a two -month stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas starting in late December, after which he will continue on tour in
North America
for one month.
