Hailey Bieber's rep deny claims that she liked a TikTok video disparaging Selena Gomez

The rumor mill went into high gear recently after Hailey Bieber was accused of liking a TikTok post that apparently threw shade at Justin Bieber's past, Selena Gomez, and her fiancé, Benny Blanco. However, the representatives for Hailey are strongly denying these accusations, stating the entire report to be untrue.

A spokesperson for Hailey Bieber said the claims are merely a "tired narrative" being taken advantage of by a content creator. “This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalize off of an old, tired narrative,” quoted the rep to Page Six.

The drama started when a TikTok user, @courtneypresto, shared a screenshot purportedly displaying Hailey Bieber liking a previous video bashing Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's Interview Magazine cover shoot.

In the video, which was first posted on February 14, @courtneypresto called the couple's loved-up photoshoot "the WORST." Although even some netizens conceded that the video was somewhat shady against Selena Gomez, the rumor that Hailey Bieber had liked it drove the internet crazy.

@courtneypresto then stoked the flames by saying Hailey's purported "like" was evidence that her supposed beef with Selena Gomez was indeed continuing. "This is clear evidence that when Hailey Bieber's like, 'Oh, everything is all love. It's all fine, we absolutely don't have any beef. Everything is just perfectly fine,' she's not being truthful," she said in her video.

The past between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber is no secret, with both having dated Justin Bieber in the past. This has usually resulted in speculation of a feud between the two women.

Contrary to the rumors, however, it's also worth recalling that Selena Gomez publicly supported Hailey Bieber before, specifically when she was sending her death threats. This act of support indicates a certain level of respect and understanding between them, even though the media wanted to think otherwise. The recent "like" denial by Hailey's camp further points to a need to lay these old rumors to rest.
