Harry Styles is in the news for defending himself against queerbaiting allegations. The singer and actor, who has been slammed for using his gender-fluid fashion for allegedly Queerbaiting, shut down haters in his latest interview.

Harry opened up in an interview with Rolling Stone, and said, "Sometimes people say, 'You've only publicly been with women,' and I don't think I've publicly been with anyone."

He added, "If someone takes a picture of you with someone, it doesn't mean you're choosing to have a public relationship or something."

The former One Direction vocalist also acknowledged that it felt "outdated" for him to specify his sexuality. "I've been really open with it with my friends, but that's my personal experience; it's mine," the singer told Better Homes and Gardens in an interview in April.

He went on to explain that society should be heading towards 'accepting everybody and being more open'. He also added "It's about not having to label everything."

Queerbaiting is defined as a marketing technique for fiction and entertainment in which creators hint at, but then do not actually commit and depict, same-sex romance or other LGBTQ+ representation.

On the personal front, the star has been in a relationship with actress Olivia Wilde since January 2021. The two met and hit it off on the set of 'Don't Worry Darling'. Styles will be seen playing the role of a bisexual police man in the film that also stars Emma Corrin.

Prior to this, the hunk was linked to supermodel Kendall Jenner and even singer Taylor Swift.
