Jack Antonoff spills the beans on working with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey; says there is a lot of magic involved

Reflecting on his collaborations, Jack Antonoff during his conversation with with Zane Lowe on a podcast, expressed his gratitude for the inexplicable magic that transpires in his work with Swift and Del Rey. He said there is a lot of magic, as every time they work on something new, he jokes, 'I guess we still got it.'



He continued to emphasize the profound connections he shared with these artists. Though he has a long-standing bond with his fellow artists, he wonders sometimes to what extent and for how long they will have this spark. This notion helps him keep his expectation bar lower.

Discussing the collaborative process, Antonoff highlighted the importance of gut feelings and the shared passion for uncovering musical treasures. He revealed that he has worked with people from different walks of life. Be it rich or poor, if the artist has a gut feeling about something, that is what makes all the difference.


Last but not least, in his tribute to Lana Del Rey, Antonoff praised her monumental impact on the music industry, stating, that Lana paved the path for many female artists. He thinks of her as a legacy.
