Katy Perry quits nicotine products, reveals she has been off them for two months

Katy Perry recently gave fans a major update on one of her lifestyle choices. The star, who is currently in a relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, revealed that she has made a healthy change in her life as of late. The ‘Roar’ singer proudly revealed that she has completely quit nicotine.

Over the years, Perry has been quite open about her smoking habits. While the star has remained candid about the same, she recently revealed that she has quit all nicotine products. Not only that, but she also added that she has not taken any form of nicotine in the past two months either.




She shared a story on her social media account about the update and urged fans to try supplements to deal with similar cravings. Over the years, the singer has been spotted time and time again smoking and drinking, which she has been open about from the get-go.

This is also not the first time that the ‘Last Friday Night’ singer has shared her journey about sobriety and staying away from nicotine.

In 2020, when she was pregnant with Daisy, her daughter that she shares with Bloom, the singer had revealed that she had completely stopped smoking. While appearing on ‘Fifi, Fev & Bryon show’ back then, she revealed, “When you stop drinking and smoking and start creating a baby, it's like your whole body is like, ‘Well, thanks for treating me nice for one day.’”

Not only that, but the star has also been candid about her sobriety pact with Orlando Bloom as well. In the past couple of years, before the two officially split up, Perry was open about the fact that she and her now ex-husband had a pact in place with a promise to remain sober no matter what.

In an old interview with PEOPLE, the singer revealed that having Bloom by her side was one of the main reasons that she was able to stay away from alcohol. She shared at the time that “It's really hard to do anything, whether that's doing a cleanse or a reset, unless your partner's doing it. So, doing it together makes it so much easier.”
