Mariah Carey's classic single 'All I want for
Christmas is you' will be adapted into an animated film.
The 46-year-old songstress took to
Twitter to break the news. "My song is becoming a movie! You're the first to hear about this exciting news! Follow @AllIWantMovie for more updates. #AllIWantMovie," Carey tweeted alongside a video giving a sneak peek into the film.
In the clip, the singer said, "I don't want a love for Christmas, there is just one thing I need." According to reports, the movie will be narrated by Carey and it features the voice cast which includes
Henry Winkler,
Lacey Chabert,
Breanna Yde,
Phil Morris, Laya Hayes and Keiko Agena.
The film, which will be produced by Universal studios, is slated for release in the holiday season of 2017.
