Perry Farrell settles lawsuit as ‘Jane's Addiction’ confirms split - Reports
The lawsuit involving Perry Farrell and his former band Jane’s Addiction has officially reached its conclusion. A recent report has confirmed that both parties reached an official settlement in court, and the lawsuit charges were dropped altogether.
A week ago, the band confirmed in an online post that they had all reached the end of the line and that Jane’s Addiction would be splitting up. The lawsuit had originally been filed against Farrell by his bandmates over an incident on September 24. It was a USD 10 million lawsuit, which was registered earlier this year.
In July, Farrell’s fellow bandmates had filed for a lawsuit, alleging, as per the report, that they had intentionally inflicted emotional distress on them. They also claimed in their lawsuit about assault and battery as well. Other allegations mentioned in the lawsuit include “negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and indemnity, and contribution.”
The band announced the news of their split the same day through an online post. Their official statement about the move read, “We now look forward to the future as we embark on our separate musical and creative endeavors. Jane's Addiction will forever live in our hearts. We are proud of the music we created together.”
