Global pop star Shakira has given her Indian fans a reason to cheer! After announcing her return to India with her tour next month, the singer on Monday, announced an additional show, after what organisers described as “unprecedented demand” for tickets.
According to reports, the singer, added a second gig to the Mumbai leg of her show. She is now set to perform live on April 10 and April 11, thus making her long-awaited return to India after nearly two decades, worth the wait.
Speaking about her upcoming shows, Shakira said in a statement, "Performing in India has always been special to me, and I'm excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi. The Feeding India Concert is about more than music; it's about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive."
The Grammy-winning singer has remained one of the most influential stars in global pop music. Shakira to perform in Mumbai and Delhi
The newly announced date comes just days after the singer confirmed two shows in the India leg of her tour. She was originally scheduled to perform in Mumbai on April 10 and close her show in Delhi on April 15. The Delhi leg of the tour will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which has a capacity of around 60,000 spectators, making it one of the largest concert venues in the country.Shakira returns to India after 19 years
