Timmy Trumpet wishes to indulge in Indian food during his Holi tour: “Keen to try all the local cuisines at every stop” - Exclusive

Timmy Trumpet, the dynamic Australian DJ and trumpet player, is in India for his electrifying Holi tour. Known for his high-energy performances and infectious enthusiasm, Timmy is not only excited about the music but also looks forward to immersing himself in the rich cultural experiences that India has to offer. With a week-long itinerary filled with live shows and local explorations, Timmy is eager to indulge in the delectable Indian cuisine and connect with fans.

In his exclusive interview with us, he shared his game plan for the Sunburn Holi Weekend, the unique blend of live instruments with electronic music, and his anticipation for a memorable experience in India.

“I have got a few special surprises just for India”

What is your game plan? How do you plan to bring your signature energy to the Sunburn Holi Weekend?

“I’m going do what I do best. Put on the craziest show possible and make sure everyone has the absolute time of their life. I have been working on some brand-new edits, I’ll be dropping some unreleased tracks for the first time, and I have even got a few special surprises just for India,” said Timmy.

“I’m keen to try all the local cuisines at every stop on the tour”

Is there anything specific you would want to indulge in when in India—local tours, food, temple visits, or anything on your bucket list?

“Every time I have been to India in the past, I have never really had the chance to properly experience the country, my schedule has always been way too packed. But this time, I get to spend a whole week here, and I’m buzzing for it,” Timmy Trumpet replied.

He continued, “Of course, I love the food—who doesn’t love Indian food? And I’m guessing no one does it better than right here in India. So, I’m keen to try all the local cuisines at every stop on the tour. If you have got any recommendations on what I should eat or what I absolutely need to try, hit me up on my socials!”

“I have been playing the trumpet for as long as I’ve been able to hold one”

Your live trumpet performances bring a unique element to your sets. How do you think blending live instruments with electronic music enhances the festival experience?

“I have been playing the trumpet for as long as I’ve been able to hold one. It’s just always been a part of my life—the heart of my musical journey—and it always will be. I think it brings a unique sound to the stage and creates moments that me and the crowd can really share together. No matter how big the audience is, it adds this intimate, emotional energy that a lot of other instruments just can’t match. It works on every dance floor, in every country I have ever played. So, I can’t wait to see how the amazing people of India vibe with it,” says the artist.

“Embrace the chaos”

Is there any special request you wish to make for your Indian audience?

“I’m honoured to be playing multiple shows across India—honestly, I can’t even put into words how excited I am. I have got no requests for my fans—just show up, be yourself, let loose, and embrace the chaos. This is going be absolutely epic,” concluded the Australian artist.
