Kate Moss’ sister Lottie was hospitalised after Misusing Ozempic: 'Worst decision I ever made'
Lottie Moss has opened up about a frightening experience she had while using Ozempic. The 26-year-old model, known as the younger half-sister of Kate Moss, revealed why she decided to try the diabetes medication, which has gained popularity as a weight-loss drug, during the Sept. 12 episode of her Dream On podcast.
"I won’t lie, I definitely tried it. A few months ago, I wasn’t happy with my weight," Moss admitted. She explained that a friend was able to get the drug for her in an unconventional way, saying, "It was kind of below board. It came from a doctor, but it wasn’t the typical process where you get a proper checkup with tests and blood pressure readings."
Moss acknowledged that Ozempic is not intended for weight loss in people who aren’t severely overweight. "The dosage I was taking is meant for people weighing around 100 kilos [220 lbs.], and I’m in the 50s [110 lbs.]," she explained. Reflecting on the experience, she said, "There were things I wish I had known before."
Moss injected the drug into her leg instead of her stomach in hopes of reducing the nausea, but it only made things worse. "It was the worst decision I ever made," she confessed, warning others against trying it. "It’s so not worth it. I’d rather die than ever take it again." Moss described the two weeks she spent on the drug as a nightmare, experiencing severe nausea, vomiting, and an unhealthy weight drop. "I’ve never felt so sick in my life," she said.
