An emotional farewell for the US diplomat

A toast was raised in honour of Melinda Pavek, the outgoing US Consul General to Kolkata at a city hotel recently. Hosted by Arvind Sukhani, the Honorary Consul of Lithuania, the event was followed by the third edition of monsoon karaoke, which saw Melinda lend her voice to Purono Shei Diner Kotha.

Sharing his thoughts about her, Arvind said, “Besides her engagements, I’ve seen her exploring the city with vivacity.”
