An evening of diplomacy and art: City celebrates the National Day of Italy
The Consulate of Italy in Kolkata hosted a reception to mark the National Day of Italy recently It was attended by dignitaries and the who’s who of the city, including chief guest IAS Santanu Basu. The evening also featured a preview of a photo exhibit highlighting historical moments, economic ties, political meetings, sporting events, and the beauty of India and Italy.

Beyond the diplomatic pleasantries, the reception offered a culinary journey through Italy’s rich gastronomic landscape. Guests indulged in an array of artisanal cheese, cold cuts, sausages, al dente pasta, creamy risottos, and sweet tiramisu, each dish celebrating the essence of Italian culinary artistry.
