City theatre artists meet to discuss the state of theatre

A meeting was organized by the Theatre Cultural Committee at

Baithak the art house

where the senior and junior theatre artists of the city met to discuss the current

state of theatre

in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting emphasized especially on the plays which get grants from the government but are not able to maintain a standard. Theatre artist

kept his opinion forward and said that new plays are staged every now and then but they aren’t much liked by the people and thus they are not staged anywhere again. Another member Manoj Nair said that what matters is the story and not the outer appearance.
