This was followed by some colourful dances called 'Parghoni' and 'Ghodi Paithayi' from the

Baiga

Tribes brought to the stage by Phulwati Rahudiya and her group of dancers. The

Parghoni

dance is performed mostly during weddings and the other ceremonies of matrimonial alliance. The performers dress up like baraatis and

to the tunes of Nagoda and Timki.
In the Ghodi Paithayi, the Baiga tribals kick off the season of festivals. It starts from Dusshera and goes on till the month of December. This dance is intriguing because the menfolk are from one village, while the womenfolk come from another village.
