Poets from Nepal and Afghanistan recite their poems in Bhopal

In the second session of World poetry Lebo Mashile from

South Africa

, Suman Pokhrel from

Nepal

, Khujesta Elham from

Afghanistan

were present along with Santosh Choubey. The poets recited their poems in a native language whose

Hindi

translation was also recited. Khujesta Elham from Afganistan recited her poem “If you become the rain” in English, which is translated in Hindi by Rakhi Garg. A line from the poem is “Barish... yahi tum barish bano to mere keshon par behna, yahi tum suraj bano to mere thande hatho ko taap dena, yahi tum ek chidiya bano to meri khidki pe aake geet gana”. Her second poem was Voice of an Afghanistani woman, its Hindi translation is Chattan .. Chattan yaad hain tumhe, main bilkul tumhare jaise hi hun me ek beti hun aur ek zimmedar maa bhi, kai bar bigharti hun or fir khadi ho jati hun.. Baar baar kai baar. Later other poets also recited their famous poem.
