Reviving the story of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

A troupe of forty artists from

Arghya Kala Samiti

presented the journey of the most controversial political figure from the time of Independence – Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The play, aptly titled Kahani Subhash Ki was a thrity five scenes act which showed the periods of his childhood, college days, his meeting with the Japanese and Hitler and other major incidents of his life. It also included a scene where Netaji hoisted the first Independent Indian flag at

Andaman and Nicobar Islands

.

Since the Bose’s death is still a mystery that eludes everyone in the world, the director, senior actor-director Vaishali Gupta avoided the sequence. Instead she added an improvised scene in which a child proclaims, ‘Bose is alive in our hearts’.

The performance was staged in

Shaheed Bhavan

on Tuesday to commemorate Netaji

Subhash Chandra

Bose’s birth anniversary.
