Babushaan Mohanty holds live session with Indian hockey legends

Ollywood actor Babushaan Mohanty recently held a live session with former and current national Hockey players to discuss about Major Dhyan Chand before his 115th birth anniversary.

The actor hosted the online session from his residence while hockey legends attending the event from their homes and discussing various aspects of this glorious game and its golden phase for India.In the 90-minute panel discussion, hockey legends Gurubux Singh, Harvinder Singh, Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand and youngster Yuvraj Walmiki were present. They discussed different phases of Indian hockey starting from 1928 till 2020.They also talked about Dhyan Chand to be honoured with Bharat Ratna.
The panel discussion was part of a campaign started last year demanding Bharat Ratna for Major Dhyan Chand.
The actor who is a sports enthusiast was thrilled to host the discussion. It was for the first time that he was conducting a sports event with legends to pay tribute. “Indian hockey is synonymous to Dhyan Chand. We have grown up listening to legends of Dhyan Chand in the hockey field. Interacting with the great players just before Dhyan Chand’s birthday and getting to know more about Indian Hockey is in itself an achievement for me. All these former players spoke about their experiences of playing with Dhyan Chand,” said Babushaan.
