BHUBANESWAR: A woman constable of Badagada police station here on Wednesday lodged a complaint against her husband, who is also a constable posted in Kendrapada district, for allegedly marrying another woman.
The
constable couple
, who were married in 2008, have been estranged for the last few years. High drama unfolded at a public place in the
Airfield police
area when the woman constable found him with the other
woman in a car.
The couple picked up a fight in full public view and later went to the
Airfield police station
.
“We have not been separated legally. But my husband developed a relationship with another woman. I suspect he has married her,” she said. However, her husband denied the charges. “The woman, who was travelling with me in the car, is my relative. I have already filed for divorce with my wife. She assaulted me and my relative,” he alleged.
The Airfield police said they were verifying the charges and counter-allegations.
