Cricket match for economically weak students of PEC

In a noble gesture towards the economic weak, engineering students of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, a corporate house, made cricket as means of fund raising. Mohali based group of industries organized a day long tournament on the lines of Indian Premier League (IPL), wherein four teams owned by their franchise owners sweat it out on the field. Played at the greens of Cricket Stadium, Sector 16, all teams - Wipers, Roaring Smasher’s, Red Dragons, Mustan’s exhibited their sporting and noble spirits on field.
Match was inaugurated by Hartek Singh, chairman, power and renewable energy committee, ASSOCHAM.
