It’s a wrap for another year of
Saarang
, the cultural extravaganza of IIT-Madras. The fest ended with a befitting gig by
Benny Dayal’s band Funktuation and a performance by singer KK. The Open Air Theatre on campus was packed to the gills much before the Popular Night kicked off. And the music enthusiasts stayed throughout the show, grooving to each number performed by both the singers.
Benny Dayal had something special for Chennaiites as he released his album Funk Katcheri and also performed songs from the album live. The final day of Saarang 2019 also saw others major
events
like the finals of JAM and Tarang. Glitch, a young band, won the light music competition Tarang. IIT Saarang 2019 was presented by The Times of India.
