MASTER AND PUPIL: K Balachander and Vasanth. (TOI Photo)Hey director," said Sundar C to Arjun, who reciprocated cheerfully saying "Hey actor". Such camaraderie marked the evening at the wedding reception of music director D Imman, which saw the coming together of many Kollywood personalities.
Actor Jeevan, who has created a niche for himself with films such as Thiruttu Payale and Naan Avanillai, was the most sought-after star at the reception.

Upcoming and established directors made a beeline to greet him, probably with the aspiration of getting his dates in the near future.
Veteran director K Balachander was accompanied by director Vasanth, who has been seen assisting the legend in many public functions. Lyricist Vairamuthu and producer AVM Saravanan were seen chatting for sometime.
Music director Imman has the rare distinction of making even Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who usually keeps a low profile, sing a song (Natpe Natpe) in the film Whistle. Another song in that film - Azhagiya Asura - went on to become a huge hit and catapulted Imman to the big league of music directors.
Aparna Pillai of Pudukottaiyil Saravanan fame was one of the few heroines who attended the reception. Sibiraj, who makes it a point to attend every Kollywood event, was seen chatting with friends. At the end of the evening, the reception marked a great chance for personalities to catch up with each other despite other schedules in hand.
