City witnesses a performing arts festival 'Mixtura Vizha 2024' in Chennai

Last weekend saw Chennai’s annual performing arts festival, Mixtura Vizha, unfurl with its usual touch of surprise — the locations were revealed but not the kind of performances. Conducted at three unique locations — Central Station, Thiru Vi Ka Park and Quest at Besant Nagar — the performances, a mixture of music, dance and storytelling, brought the cultural scene alive. The myriad of performances — from orchestral music and opera to Tamil plays, Bharatanatyam and even a DJ performance, these ten performances across three venues, created a city-wide celebration of the arts — lifted the audiences’ mood and left them inspired with a newfound love for the performing arts.
