Melodies & memories at Dr BMK’s tribute event

It was an evening of fond remembrances and fabulous music at this tribute event for late Carnatic music legend Dr Balamuralikrishna. Sandeep Narayan kicked off the proceedings with an inspiring concert while Dr BMK’s disciples, led by Binni and Krishnakumar, brought the proceedings to a memorable close. Chief guest Suresh Gopi bestowed the title Murali Nãda Lahari on mridangam maestro Guruvayur Dorai. Popular names, including Dr Padma Subrahmanyam, TV Gopalakrishnan and composer Ramesh Vinayakam were spotted at this event, which was also graced by BMK’s daughter, Mahathi.
