Art of steel displayed in Delhi
The steel sculptures on display gave this art do a complete new meaning. The do saw the presence of many renwoned names.
Most visitors appreciated the concept. And the artists who had created these sculptures in stainless steel were flooded with compliments. The do saw the presence and participation of the Jindal brothers – Ratan, Navin and Sajjan Jindal.
My wife Deepika:
Talking about his wife and the organiser of the event Deepika, Ratan said, “She’s been working hard for this event. There were times when she got tired and talked about the massive task she had undertaken. And soon after, she would get back to the work.”
The art form: Looking pretty in a saree, Deepika sounded upbeat about steel as an art form. “This is a unique exhibition. We have been working on it for ages. The artists should get all the credit for its conceptualisation, they’ve all worked really hard. I have just given them a platform to display their talent,” she said.
The people who came: Feroz Gujral walked in looking different in a salwar- kameez. Others spotted were Madhu Jain, Suhel Seth, Payal Kapoor, Kiran and Satish Gujral, Florindo Rozante, Veer Munshi and Satish Gupta.
