Jashn the German way
The formal event began with the presentation of Indian and German national anthems by a student choir. Diplomats, like Turkish ambassador Firat Sunel, were seen cheering for their kids who were part of the choir. “My son was there too; it was good to see him perform,” said Sunel, who recorded the entire musical presentation. The formal event was followed by a party as the German ambassador proclaimed, “Germans are well known for having good parties; it’s not a joke, it’s true! Ab waqt hai jashn ka.”
