Celebrating the spirit of Punjab, the World Punjabi Organisation honoured achievers across cinema, fashion, social impact, and public administration at an awards ceremony in Delhi on Sunday night.

Hosted under the aegis of MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney, chairman of WPO, the evening featured cultural performances by a traditional Punjabi band and a bhangra troupe. Guests of honour Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, and Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, were felicitated with a shawl and kirpan. The event opened with the national song and anthem, setting a formal tone for the evening.
A spread of classic appetisers – lamb seekh kebab, paneer tikka, kali mirch murgh tikka, and ajwaini fish tikka – circulated as attendees took in the performances and celebrations.
