. And so, to celebrate their one-year anniversary, Koyal decided to host a post-wedding sangeet so that she and her friends could enjoy all the festivities they missed out on last year.
“We wanted to throw a party for our first wedding anniversary, and while coming up with ideas for the celebration, I thought, 'why not host our sangeet now?' It's something that we could not do last year, as only a limited number of people attended our wedding. Most of my friends could not be a part of it. It was an intimate wedding and I was so overwhelmed learning about all the traditions, wedding customs and rituals that I hardly got any time to have fun. We decided to host this sangeet so that we could have a chance to enjoy and dance with our friends and celebrate our wedding like I had always dreamt of doing,” said Koyal, who looked stunning in a Shane and
Falguni Peacock lehenga at the sangeet bash.
“On the day of our anniversary, my husband and I decided to go to Goa as we wanted to just be with each other, and we planned the sangeet for the week after that. I was thrilled about it, but my friends were even more excited than I was. They planned special performances and we rehearsed for a week in advance. I must say, this was the best way we could have celebrated our anniversary. I never had so much fun in my whole life. We danced for hours and it was the best night,” said Koyal.
