Politicians and professors at Swara Bhasker’s brother’s grand reception in Delhi

Swara Bhasker’s brother, Ishan, recently got married to Bhoomika Joshi in Lucknow. And on Thursday, the family hosted a wedding reception in Delhi to celebrate. Dressed in a beautiful saree and gajra, the groom's mother, Ira Bhasker, who is a JNU professor, welcomed all the guests with a smile. “I’m really happy. My daughter is home, my son is married and I have got an amazing daughter-in-law.Swara has been the most excited throughout the wedding celebrations,” she told us.

The groom’s father, Commodore (retd) C Uday Bhaskar, was quite busy attending to the guests. Former Vice President Hamid Ansari, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, were among the guests who came to give their blessings to the newly-weds. The guest list also included many from the defence forces and professors from JNU.

Swara shared, “I was the wedding planner, and I swear, I’ll never do it again, not even in my own wedding! I have lost my voice. Abhi toh phir bhi aawaz nikal rahi hai, do din pehle I was using sign language.” Himanshu Sharma, screenwriter, and Swara’s boyfriend, was also present at the reception with his family.
