Sharmila Tagore recently attended the annual Bhopal-Pataudi Cup Tournament at Jaipur Polo Grounds. The final match between Achievers and Jindal Panthers made for an interesting Sunday for guests who thoroughly enjoyed the game. Achievers emerged as the winners. Hurr Ali was adjudged the Most Valuable Player and Mare Mirchi from Achievers Polo team was adjudged the Best Polo Pony. Sharmila Tagore gave the Trophy and prizes to the players.

“I am happy that this tournament is getting popular among people and everyone is liking polo as a sport. I had a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed the game,” said the veteran actress who has been attending the polo tournament here for years now.
Finals of Bhopal-Pataudi Cup was a thrilling match played at a fast pace, all players displayed their superb horsemanship and stick work. Naveen Singh scored five goals, Bautista Alberdi scored 3 goals and Shamsheer Ali scored one goal for Achievers while Simran S Shergill scored 3 goals, Hurr Ali and Siddhant Sharma scored 2 goals each and Mahender Singh Rathore scored one goal for Jindal Panther. Over 500 people attended the event even when it was close to Diwali. Among guests were diplomats, socialites and many polo enthusiasts.
