The marriage, according to Michael, “was an unceremonious court signing in a government office at Delhi on a hot day.” Michael’s family from Australia and friends from all over the world came to be a part of this celebration. “When we got married, I had been up all night and we didn’t quite know what was happening. So, we later celebrated with a big lunch at home, but this celebration has been truly magical,” said Michael.

Fiza and Michael met in Goa while Fiza was staying there and Michael was on a holiday. They decided to get married within three weeks of meeting, and Michael says “it was a

.” Fiza added, “We just ran into each other and happened to stay in touch, but it was a whirlwind romance with him asking me to marry within three weeks of meeting.”

FRIENDLYMOON

After the Delhi celebrations with family, the couple has planned a “friendlymoon” – honeymoon with friends. “Since a lot of our friends have come from so far, we would travel to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal, then we’ll go to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and then last four days in Goa,” said Fiza. The event was a formal event with guests like Sheila Dixit, Amjad Ali Khan with his wife, Subhalakshmi Khan, Shivani Wazir Pasrich and Anju Modi in attendance.
