Goa crosses 1.08 crore tourist arrivals in 2025, marks continued post-pandemic growth

Goa has recorded a total of 1.08 crore tourist arrivals in 2025, reaffirming its position as one of India’s leading destinations and reflecting steady growth across domestic and international segments. Provisional data from the Department of Tourism shows 1,02,84,608 domestic and 5,17,802 foreign tourists, continuing the momentum built in 2024 when total arrivals crossed 1.04 crore. Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said the figures highlight the resilience of Goa’s tourism sector and the success of sustained, structured growth initiatives, noting that the rise in domestic arrivals, revival of international travel through charter, scheduled and cruise segments, and the enhanced role of Manohar International Airport (Mopa) all point to improved connectivity and destination readiness. Goa received 189 charter flights in 2025 bringing 40,336 foreign tourists, while 1,784 international scheduled flights through Dabolim and Mopa carried 2,35,798 foreign visitors. Cruise tourism also maintained momentum, with 37 vessels bringing in 51,510 passengers, including 10,086 foreign and 41,424 domestic tourists. Director of Tourism Kedar Naik said the data reflects a clear recovery trajectory across all segments, driven by infrastructure development, connectivity enhancement, and destination management, adding that the department will continue to strengthen market outreach, improve visitor experiences, and promote sustainable tourism practices. With over one crore visitors for the second consecutive year, Goa’s tourism industry has firmly consolidated its post-pandemic revival, setting the stage for continued growth in 2026.
