Community Policing Unit, in association with Goa Welfare Charitable Trust headed by Shabana Ali Mohamed organised meals for the needy at the trusts centre in Vasco today. As part of Gandhi Jayanti, the theme being ‘Everyone deserves to taste freedom’ Verna Police Officers Aarti, Sonali and Kiran along with other trust members served and cooked meals to the visitors, and also interacted with them.

PI

Sandesh Chodankar says, “Our community includes everyone. As a respect to the father of our nation and all his teachings, we decided to partner with Shabana, her daughter (also our junior cop) Erina and their trust to provide and serve meals to those in need, thus they too could enjoy the taste of freedom. This, along with our togetherness from Verna Police Station allowed us to extend our ongoing community connect for positivity. After all Gandhiji said 'Where there is love, there is life'."
