Former Naval officer turned mentalist entertains the crowd in Vasco

Lt. Cdr CA Praveen (Retd) was introduced to the teeming audience gathered at Rajhans Naval Auditorium to witness a man’s journey into the depth of the mind – an intuitive entertainment show – The Sixth Sense.

The highlight of the show was the accurate prediction of two events that he had made three days earlier. On 10th October, Mentalist Praveen handed over a sealed prediction to Rear Admiral PG Pynumootil, NM, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area, in the presence of other senior officers.The prediction was locked inside a box and was kept under safe custody and brought to the stage only during the show.On the stage, the Admiral himself took out the prediction and read it. The mentalist had predicted that on 12th October, a commercial aircraft would run into trouble and that none would be hurt. The second prediction was about a famous politician who would be in the news. Both these predictions appeared on the front page of The Times of India on 13th October.

This had the entire audience gasping in sheer astonishment.

Lt Cdr CA Praveen, who worked in the aviation branch of the Indian Navy, started the show by flying a paper aeroplane into the audience. Prior to that, each member of the audience were asked to think of random three digit numbers in their mind. The plane took an unpredicted path and landed on a person. He was asked to call out the random number in his mind. It matched exactly the tail number printed on the paper plane! Another volunteer was asked to call out a destination for the plane, a city anywhere in the world. A random lady from the audience called out ‘Boston’. The paper plane was unfolded to reveal the name “Boston” printed boldly on the paper. The amazed audience broke out into spontaneous applause.

The show also included demonstration of extra ordinary skills of solving a Rubiks cube (that was mixed and shuffled by the audience) in less than 15 seconds, using only one hand and as if that wasn’t enough, he did it blindfolded.

The entire show of 1 hour 15 minutes was highly entertaining and packed with humour and astonishing moments.
