recently. Apart from acknowledging the 28-year-old’s indomitable spirit and contribution towards the country-wide campaign to stop acid attacks, the event also recognised her role in spreading awareness about the inclusion of the differently-abled people into the society.

“It was a great honour to be able to present here on this auspicious day. I feel really proud to attend such an inspiringevent,” said the acid attack crusader.Actor Lakshmi Manchu, who presided over the event as the chief guest, said, “My daughter is four years old and I celebrated her first birthday in a special home. My father
always tell us that it’s our responsibility to make the under-privileged and specially-abled people happy as they too are very much a part of our society.”


The event also saw some spectacular performances by a host of students from a number of special schools from the Telugu states. “All of the students are special and have exceptional talents. I just want them to be happy and achieve whatever they want without fear,”added Manchu.
