City kids participate in a fundraiser for CRPF jawans

With the entire nation in a state of shock following the macabre killing of 40 CRPF soldiers in Pulwama on February 14, people from various walks of life have been rendering their bit to provide succour to the bereaved families.

Moved by the plight of the soldier, Sim and Sam, a party zone in the city, rose to the occasion by involving children in a fund-raising event, the proceeds of which were donated to the families of the troopers who were killed in the terrorist attack.

As part of the fundraiser, a play was organised for the CRPF in their Kompally and Pocharam branches, in which children aged up to 12 years participated enthusiastically.

The children, encouraged by parents, guardians and elders, also carried placards with messages like 'Salute Jawan' and 'We are with you Soldier'.
