City’s petrolheads organise supercar rally to celebrate I-Day

Taking advantage of the relatively empty roads on Independence Day, city’s petrolheads took their swanky, luxurious cars for a spin on Wednesday.

Over 50 high-end cars zoomed through the streets from Jubilee Hill’s Road Number 36 to Airport Approach Road.

Titled ‘Freedom Day Ride’, the 40km ride kick-started at noon and lasted for an hour. The ride featured some of the best car-manufacturers such as Lamborghini Aventador S, Lamborghini Aventador, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488 GTB, Audi R8 & RS7, Mercedes AMG E63, Porsche and Hummer.

Speaking about the event, Nishant Saboo, one of the participants and organiser of the event, said, "A gathering like this has never happened in Hyderabad. The event was a super hit. It was a wonderful experience to have so many supercars gather at one place.”
