The three-hour walk which began at 5.30 pm from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training in Hitec City and ended at

100 Feet Road

in

Madhapur

saw the revellers grooving to the beats of dhol, as they walked the two kilometres stretch carrying saffron flags in their hands.
Leading the way right at the front were women bikers, clad in richly coloured traditional Nauvari sarees. Decked in phetas, gold jewellery and sunglasses, the women set the tempo for the procession, while not far behind were the menfolk, clad in dhotis and pagadis dancing to the tunes of

Vithal Bhajan

rendered by the Varkari folk. The major attraction was the lezim dance performance which added a burst of colours to the procession pulsating with energy.
